As we draw close to the end of another great year of Off Road Racing we need to thank all those people who tirelessly put in a huge effort which reflects greatly on our club! A massive thankyou to the 2011 WAORRA Committee, the volunteers and officials, event organisers, property owners, the racers and of course the families who put up with their endless whinging!

If your car is more than two years old and was not inspected last year it must have an inspection before racing in 2012. The CAMS manual provides details on how the car must be presented but basically needs to be presented with all panels removed where possible, this includes the roof. (We understand this cannot be done on some 2WD and 4WD vehicles, remove all panels possible) Access to seat belt mounting points must also be available.

There have been several comments regarding the non application of competitors missing markers at the recent 2011 Marsue Transport Mogumber 240. The following is a summary of what occurred and some of the reasoning behind what occurred at the event. 01/09/2011 CORRIGIN CANCELLED!!! Due to the record rainfall the shire of Corrigin has received this year, the farmers have decided to plant extra crop for a bumper season. With this in mind the farmers have requested that we do not race Corrigin this year and the WAORRA organising committee has agreed to cancel this event.
We would like to thank everyone who has volunteered to help out with this year’s race. Thanks to Craig, Scooter, Danni and Greg Smith for the trips already done to Corrigin this year.
Corrigin will be back on the race calendar next year… and has already been approved for the last weekend of April.
WAORRA Is currently trying to find an alternative venue to run this year in November… when this information comes to hand you will be notified so keep checking back for updates!

Yet another "muddy" Mogumber gone by... and another fantastic WAORRA event hosted.
Special Mention to all those who helped contribute to the organisation and running of the event. Track markers, officials, recovery crew, event directors Trish Cosh and Dave Galloway and a massive thanks to the event organising commitee, John & Brett Preece and John Flynn... and most importantly the property owner!!!

MOGUMBER TRACK MARKING
Track marking will be held on Saturday the 30th of July and the club needs as many volunteers as possible to go down and lend a hand. Meet at the Bindoon Bakery at 8:00am. To register your involvement or for any further queries please contact John Preece on: 9274 1829

The Bencubbin 300 held on the weekend was possibly the biggest state round event held in WA (with 60 entrants) and was a credit to all who got involved and helped out! A massive thank you to the event organisers Dave Galloway, Dave Percival and Dave Cowan and all who volunteered both prior and throughout the event! Congratulations to all who competed, you put on a very impressive show for the spectators. Photos and videos are currently being uploaded so make sure you keep checking the gallery!

There was a club meeting held last night and out of 108 club members, only 22 showed up to voice their opinions. As the longest running Off Road Club in WA with a strong member base we all need to start lending a hand more to take pressure off of those who tirelessly volunteer there time.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Officials and volunteers are required for the running of the event. There are numerous positions available so if you know of anyone who is interested in giving it a go (even if it is as a trainee) please contact Dave on the above number.
Please Note: There has been some discussion on the expiry period of the club membership... All memberships run from January 2011 and expire in December 2011 regardless of when you purchased your membership and has always been this way. So some words of advice, to get the most out of your membership, buy it at the beginning of each year!
