Welcome to W.A.O.R.R.A.
We are the oldest established Off Road Racing Club in W.A. with a mixed age group of enthusiastic Off-Road Endurance Racers, comprising of approximately 70-80 members. The Club originated from the days when we used to go dune racing in Lancelin. We now race generally on farming properties within a few hours’ drive from Perth.
Off Road racing tests the drivers, co drivers, navigators and their vehicles over different track conditions, which usually consists of mud and creek crossings, gravel pits, open paddocks, tight bush tracks, long sandy straights, with some very rough terrain sections thrown in just for good measure. Most races are held over two days, with the lap distance varying from 25-50kms in length totaling anywhere between 200kms to 500kms per race.
W.A.O.R.R.A. organizes three races per year; being Bencubbin on the June long weekend and Mogumber in mid-August, (both as part of the State Off Road Championship series) and Corrigin which is a Multi-Club event held in mid-November. We also participate in other events directed by other clubs.
The races are run under the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) rules and regulations and all vehicles must comply with CAMS. To find out more information on rules and regulations see www.cams.com.au
